Welcome! 👋 I'm a first-gen, computer science major at Cal Poly SLO. My experience derives from product management, software engineering, and cybersecurity. Currently, I am a cybersecurity coach for LA-Tech.org, an undergrad researcher in engineering, and VP of ColorStack's Cal Poly SLO Chapter! 🌟 More info on my experiences: • I had the opportunity to intern at SentinelOne, a leading cybersecurity company, and got to combine my technical knowledge, end-to-end product sense, and passion for business strategy to strengthen the AWS Cloud Team partnership. Additionally, I am a previous officer in the Cal Poly Security Education Club where I attended weekly cybersecurity workshops and frequently participated in CTFs. • In software engineering, I have worked mostly with Python, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and JS in over 5+ hackathons to create full-stack web apps and React, Git, and TypeScript with Snap Inc. in their engineering academy. Last summer I had the opportunity to revamp the CSU's Intro to Computing course in Python, developing labs, tutorials, and testing to improve retention rates for Black and Latinx computing students.• In product management, my experience working at LA-Tech.org to revamp the IT/Cybersecurity Academy, alongside hosting hackathons with the Girls Who Code Berkeley College Loop, and being the co-founder of a ColorStack chapter has given me expertise in planning with cross-functional teams, executing brand vision, and communicating with multiple stakeholders to accomplish goals.As a Latina in tech, I hope to continue to uplift first-gen, students of color post-graduation as I have throughout my time at Cal Poly through Color Coded by ColorStack through building community on campus, producing and facilitating creative coding workshops, and providing professional development opportunities through mentorship and resource advocacy. 👩💻🇲🇽
